I'm loving playing with the Prima Patina Pastes and combining the distressed objects with Heartfelt Creations flowers, I find the juxtaposition of old and distressed and pretty and glittery is really cool. These are some resin pieces I cast using Iron Orchid and other molds then distressed with the patina paste. The flowers are HC classic rose. The background is distress oxides.

I was in love with the distressed copper look of Prima's patina pastes and have been dying to try it. I cast a frame in resin from a mold I made. I covered the frame in gesso then the patina past and absolutely love the final look of the frame. It looks like it's been sitting at the bottom of the ocean for about a hundred years...so cool! I did a background with distress oxides/Inks splattered with some water. I wanted to contrast the overall distress look with some sparkly flowers but kept them in the same color pallet, these are Heartfelt Creations Delightful Daisies colored with Zig markers and then a little Spectrum Noir sparkle pen added on top.
This may be one of my most favorite things I've made in a while, it took hours to bring everything together but I love the final result. |
