I created a mini album and a cabinet to go with it. The mini album itself masqeurades as one of the drawers. I included a video to go over some details.

To be honest, I wasn't immediately drawn to the Under the Sea release, but then I saw some how great the hibiscus flowers could look and I was sold. I wanted to do a layered piece so I sandwiched a clear plastic sheet in the middle and sponged it with some alcohol ink to add dimension. I'm very happy with the final result. We finally had some nice weather here in Philadelphia this last week, so I've been working on redoing my front entrance and thus haven't been doing much crafting. I repainted the large flower box and the large planter with a faux wood look and added some rustic baskets as additional planters. My color scheme was soft yellow and blue. I did add a few crafty elements; I made the chicken wire squares and added some paper/fabric flowers and made the banner using burlap paper and felt (they're exposed to the elements but I only intend to use them this season).
I've decided to add a blog in addition to my You Tube site. Previously I had just been posting some pictures of my crafty projects here. I'm still going to do that but have decided to try to make it more blog like and add commentary along with the projects.
